Appearing on Fox News Wednesday night, Democratic presidential candidate and Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard called Hillary Clinton a “warmonger.”

‘I think everybody knows and understands that she is a warmonger’

“I think everybody knows and understands that she is a warmonger,” Gabbard said during her appearance on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

“And it is her record,” Gabbard added.

Gabbard’s comments were a response to the trending hashtag “#ivotedforHillaryClinton,” which gained steam after Iran’s missile attack Tuesday night on two Iraqi airbases that housed American troops.

Hillary herself tweeted the hashtag, which became a social media outcry against President Trump’s decision to order an airstrike that killed Iranian general Qassem Soleimani last week.

Carlson said the premise of the hashtag was that “President Hillary would not be starting a war with Iran.” He then asked Gabbard, “Was that true?” before playing a clip of the former Secretary of State bragging about Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi dying in 2011. Carlson went on to play another clip showing Clinton warning that if Iran attacks Israel with nuclear weapons during a time in which she had been elected president, she would attack Iran.

‘The queen of warmongers’

“You look throughout, obviously, her support for the war in Iraq [in 2003], throughout her history. Her track record is well known,” said Gabbard, who had called Clinton “the queen of warmongers” in October. “And I think this is why a lot of people back in 2016 and the general election decided that they would vote for Trump, because of what he was saying on the campaign trail about ending stupid wars and bringing our troops home.”

Gabbard Wants to Get America Out of Endless Wars

Gabbard took issue with Trump for his handling of U.S.-Iran relations and sending more troops to the Middle East. She also said she wants to get America out of unwinnable wars.

“Getting out, getting our troops out of Iraq and Syria is essential,” Gabbard said, “because the longer that they are there, the more likely it is that they are at risk and that we will end up in this endless tit-for-tat, back-and-forth quagmire of a war with people wondering, what is it all for?”
